As he shakes her violently, she ends up falling and hitting her head. Then Finn angrily recriminates her for playing such a cruel game to make him believe that Layla was alive. Ellen is also in the room, snuggled in the sofa, and she smiles to see him appear. The family house is dilapidated and when he gets there, Peggy is there. So he knows that Ellen has returned to Lewis, where she was from originally. Then he also checks her computer history and finds out that she had visited the site for ferries to Scotland. Their suspicions get confirmed when they manage to access her computer, and he finds his emails there.įinn is really shocked, and all he wants is to find Ellen and confront her. The conclusion that they reach is that Layla was never back and it was all Ellen’s game. Tony suggests he go to bed because he sounds exhausted, and when he wakes up, Tony, Harry and Ruby are there, so he tells them everything. Then he talks to Harry, who happens to be in Bahamas with Ruby, because apparently there are in a relationship, and then he also talks to Tony, the detective. So he starts thinking that Layla must have been here and Ellen must have known about it. So he goes up there and finds a chest full with the bigger Russian dolls. Yet, the outcome is really implausible and even ridiculous.Īfter Ellen goes missing, Finn starts examining the house and finds a doll below the attic. I enjoyed the building up of tension and intrigue. I have to say that once again I am not crazy about the ending of this story.
